Description

WYCC values the relationship and support for collaborative working, and wants to invite applications from organisations that are committed to working in partnership to deliver quality training which meets the Leeds City Region skills agenda.

To meet the aim of building and strengthening a skilled workforce, WYCC is seeking skilled training providers (referred to as the \"Applicants\" from here on) to retrain and support career progression and transitions for women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) occupations .

This commission is for services to develop and deliver Conversion Courses (training) that will help women to progress into and within STEM occupations. The aims of this training are to:

Increasing the skills levels (through training) of employed women from the existing level to the next level up, to encourage progression in employment;

Increasing the volumes of women within STEM occupations, particularly at level 2 and above, with a focus is on raising the bar on higher level skills;

Train women in their pursuit of careers in STEM occupations;

Develop individuals who, upon completion, are ready to progress in STEM occupations; and

Demonstrate that the use of women in STEM training will start to tackle the supply and demand mismatch.
