Description

An Accelerated Open Procedure is being used to allow this work to take place alongside works that will already be taking place on site and ensure all is complete by 20th July 2018.

Tenders are invited for the construction of a compact gravel pathway linking the yet to be completed Play area and an initial 50metre pathway (to be constructed), around the full perimeter of the Recreation Ground.

The Recreation Ground is located to the rear and side of the Village Hall on Wick Road, Bishop Sutton BS39 5XQ.

Supply and lay 650m² of groundworks and Compact Gravel for pathway:
• Excavate ground at 100mm deep and compact area
• Add MOT stone to depth of 75mm /80mm and compact
• Supply and lay Geotextile membrane
• Lay top coat of fine stone dust and compact
• Timber edging along pathway
• Form bunds and seed
• Removal of soil

The remaining pathway to be built is approx. 325m in length and will need to be 2.00 m width and will be timber edged along the full length of the pathway.

The pathway will border the entire recreation ground and will need to accommodate use by children with scooters/bikes, wide enough for a parent or adult to walk side by side with a child, of a suitable surface for runners of all ages. It should be constructed in such a way to avoid water collecting on the pathway.

Your tender submission should include future maintenance requirements/costs and expected guarantee.

Evidence of the following will be required:
-Public liability insurance
-Company health and safety policy
-Risk and method statements.

REINSTATEMENTS

Any area of the open space outside of the build area, council or private property damaged by the contractor during installation works shall be reinstated at the Contractors cost.

During construction an appropriate security fence to be supplied by the contractor and all machinery should be stored within.
