Description
AVBC are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced civil engineering/construction service provider to undertake works which will involve the re-shaping/landscaping of the topography of the recreation ground by
taking earth from the slightly higher ground adjacent to the river bank and using it to raise the ground level in the
centre of the recreation ground where it currently suffers from water logging. The Environment Agency (EA) have also
requested that a volume of earth equal to 10% of the volume removed from the higher ground is moved to an
area outside of the identified flood zone either within the recreation ground or elsewhere.
In addition to the cut & fill works required , there will be a need to provide a path at 1.2m wide around as much of the perimeter as the budget range will allow for- laid to a suitable fit for purpose specification given the nature and purpose of this project. Any surplus spoil from the excavation for the path should be incorporated into the cut and fill design where possible. The bidder should provide a path design and specification for consideration as part of this procurement process. Please use the attached documents to inform your quote submission and provide a detailed breakdown of your quote ensuring that the' cut and fill' and path elements are clearly identifiable . The Council is seeking an overall fixed lump sum price.
The Council also requires a programme of works that shows completion within a 2 month period in order to comply with the conditions of the EA permit.
Before commissioning, the Council will also need to review and approve RAMS that are compliant with the Governments Covid-19 guidance.
