Description
Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board is seeking an Independent Chair. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work directly with the three strategic partners and lead our safeguarding children's partnership. The Board has some big safeguarding issues to tackle: neglect, child exploitation and keeping children safe in education. As a partnership we are committed to keeping children at the centre of our work and are looking for a leader that will help us to do this as we improve our practice.
The Independent Chair will work closely with senior leaders from the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements Executive Group, meeting on a regular basis for guidance and direction, with a delegated scheme of decision making. They will chair strategic meetings such as the OSCB Full Board and the Business Group working with organisations delivering services to children across Oxfordshire. They will also work closely with the Director of Children's Services in Oxfordshire County Council and the Lead Members for services delivered to children.
