Description

NHS England is sourcing a Provider for a Health and Justice Expert Panel within Prisons, SARCs Liaison & Diversion (L&D), Immigration Removal Centre, Secure Training Centres and Children's Homes within the East Midlands region. The Health and Justice team are looking to work with a partner who has access to a cross section of the community who have experience across the criminal justice pathway who will provide an Expert panel that will inform the commissioning decisions that we make to procure services. The Expert Panel will provide lived experience into the Health and Justice Team, as part of the Health and Justice Panel there will be an expectation to have attendance at a conference to support and highlight the patient/service user voice. The provider will have access to a range of individuals who will form the Health and Justice Expert Panel; they will also be trained in both influencing and governance and providing effective lived expertise to act as a supportive mechanism to policy and practice decision making when commissioning services. NHS England requires a H&J Lived Experience Panel who have experience of the criminal justice system and can participate in discussions where they will use their experiences to inform the discussion. This discussion will in turn inform our procurement decisions.
