Description
Wildlife Ways (working title Greening the Grey) aims to develop connections across Solihull with green networks and improved wildlife sites. Planting and seeding works will take place across much of the existing cycle network (69 km) and new shared paths (23 km), along Highway verges or through public open space. Planting will comprise the planting of heavy standard and semi-mature size trees, and smaller feathered trees, whips and transplants for hedgerow planting; large-scale wildflower seeding along verges and in parks and public open spaces, along with bulb planting; and wildflower turf areas, typically along key corridors.
Tenderers should note that elements of the Services/ Works may be partially funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
