All areas chosen for NFM projects have had flooding issues in the past.

The project will be funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund and The TRIPLE-C project which forms part of a wider delivery programme through the Heritage Lottery Funded Darent Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme (DVLPS) which will work to ensure the ongoing conservation and enjoyment of the landscape. In delivering the objectives of the DVLPS the natural flood management measures must seek to achieve flood reduction whilst respecting and enhancing the landscape character in the upper catchment of the valley between Westerham and Sevenoaks.
