Description

The PSU requires a provider who can facilitate initial screenings, full assessments and possibly face to face support for applicable trainees.

The initial screening will need to use the most appropriate evidence-based methods/software. Following this initial screening trainees should be contacted with the outcome of this result with a copy of the outcome provided to the trainee and the Professional Support Unit.

It is envisaged that following the initial screening, a recommendation may be made that a percentage of the trainee doctors and dentists would benefit from either a full Psychological assessment and/or one to one support. Again, where a full assessment has been deemed appropriate a copy of this report will need to be provided to the trainee and PSU. If a trainee undertakes one to one support a summary report detailing techniques covered will need to be provided.

Tenders should be capable of demonstrating a commitment to this work and the overall aim of Dyslexia and learning needs services with a track record of delivering a high-quality service. They should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the NHS and a thorough understanding of the current NHS policy, equal opportunities and compliance with General Protection Regulations (GDPR).
