Description

Marketing Manchester (MM), part of the Growth Company (GC), is seeking to appoint a provider to supply Research and Consultancy for the Visitor Persona and Content Project.

Marketing Manchester is the agency charged with promoting Greater Manchester nationally and internationally as a place to visit, invest, meet, and study. Our work is an essential component to successfully raise the profile of Manchester as the gateway to the North and improve global perceptions and city ranking.

The purpose of this project is to conduct research to identify and understand the national and international audience segments that have potential to be attracted and converted into visitors to Greater Manchester prioritised by the economic impact they can have on the destination.

The key objectives of the research are to:
1. Identify and prioritise these segments.
2. Assess the economic impact these potential visitors could have on the destination, especially in non-peak periods.
3. Identify the barriers that prevent these audience segments from visiting the destination.
4. Determine the factors that could motivate these audience segments to visit the destination.
5. Create personas of the audience segments with the highest potential for conversion.
6. Identify the channels these audience segments use for planning and booking a trip.
7. Identify the content that resonates with these audience segments.
