Description

The vision for the Integrated Domestic Violence and Abuse Support Service is one that delivers the highest quality support, enabling women survivors, children and young people to lead safe, fulfilled and autonomous lives free from domestic violence and abuse. The service has three equally important elements:
1. Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA) (this includes a specific Teen Advocate): The aim of this part of the service is to provide comprehensively trained and accredited specialists who will work with survivors (aged 13+). The focus of the support will be to improve their safety.
2. Independent Living Support element: The aim of this part of the service is to provide outreach and resettlement support to survivors of DSVA. Women who have installed a Sanctuary Scheme (security system) will be prioritised.
3. Stronger Families programme: The aim of this part of the service is to provide a support programme for mothers and children (16 or under) who have experienced DSVA. The focus will be to support them to build up their resilience and self-esteem, develop safety strategies and where appropriate help mothers and children rebuild their relationship.
The successful Provider will need to demonstrate how the different elements of this service will be integrated in delivering a seamless service for survivors within existing local pathways.).
