Description
Structure 1164 Rowton Rise Retaining Wall retains the highway Rowton Rise above the A5106 Chorley Road. The wall has an average height of 0.88m and is 56m long and is comprised of mortared brickwork.
The reconstruction works briefly comprise:
• Demolish existing brickwork wall and its foundation.
• Construct new brickwork retaining wall including new foundation strip.
• Cast no fine mass concrete at the back of new brickwork retaining wall.
• Install drainage channel, geotextile mat and final layer of topsoil.
• Make good footway in front of new wall.
The Contractor to provide all necessary transport, tools, access equipment, appropriate welfare, water disposal and clearance on completion in order to carry out the works effectively
