Description
Opportunity for a range of Mail Requirements:
Provision 1 - Courier Services - WMCA are looking for an appropriate supplier to provide a simple and efficient provision for same day and next day courier deliveries to service situations when standard mail procedures (such as 1st and 2nd class post) would be unsuitable to meet WMCA's business requirements.
Provision 2 - Storage, Picking, Packing and Delivery - The nature of the work entails the storage of a range of publicity documents and items for WMCA. Stock will be delivered directly from third party suppliers or WMCA for storage and distribution. The successful supplier would need to provide, maintain and further develop an online ordering and stock management system. Upon receipt of an online order, from either a WMCA customer, or WMCA, the supplier shall pick the relevant product in the quantities requested, from the stock stored, and deliver them to the customer.

This procurement is not split into Lots, however the services being procured are split in two separate provisions for which suppliers are invited to tender for either one or both.
The rationale behind the split in two different provisions is the different technicalities of the two. In particular, Provision 1 will be in the form of a single supplier framework, while Provision 2 will be in the form of a services agreement.
The two provisions have been added to a single contract notice because the overall spend within the two combined provisions is represented by postal services (CPV 64000000-6 - Postal and telecommunications services, in particular 64100000-7 - Post and Courier Services).
Further details on the scope of each provision are summarised below:
Please note that the envisaged overall value of the contract (of the two Provisions combined) is for tendering purposes only and WMCA cannot guarantee that this level of spend will be incurred.
Please note that contract start and end date are indicative only and will be confirmed after award.
