Description

Birmingham City Council is procuring for local delivery, Vulnerable Adults Housing and Wellbeing Support Services. The aim of this commissioning activity is to enable vulnerable adults to live healthy, happy independent lives within communities. The new contract will start from 1st December 2019 until 30th November 2022; with a potential contract extension of up to 2 years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The services are designed to meet the commissioning model and collaborative approaches set out in the Vision and Strategy for Adult Social Care in Birmingham, Domestic Abuse Prevention Strategy and the Homelessness Prevention Strategy . The three strategies call for an approach that embeds early and personalised support and prevention, to reduce the impact of more costly crisis stage interventions which are based upon statutory thresholds or definitions. This includes the importance of making safeguarding personal.

There is an opportunity for successful bidders to provide additional support, for specific cohorts of clients, directly related to training and employment assignments. This additional service is match funded via the European Social Funded PURE Project.

You will be asked if you are interested in providing the PURE Project service and, if you are, to submit information for assessment. Your decision to on provision for the PURE Project service will not influence any assessments or decisions made in relation to the evaluation of bids submitted as part of this Invitation to Tender.

Where successful bidders have declared an interest in delivering the European Social Fund (ESF) match funded PURE Project, and have be successful in their bid for PURE. It is the Council's intention to include the PURE award with the main contract.
