Description

Somerset County Council is planning a competitive process in the summer of 2015 for the delivery of an Oral Health Improvement Service. The aim of the service is to prevent or slow the progression of dental decay and oral disease, and reduce oral health inequalities in children and young people, and adults who are at increased risk of poor oral health in Somerset. It aims to achieve this through: Increasing the availability of fluoride Improving oral hygiene Increasing access to dental services Promoting healthy diet and reducing the consumption of sugary food and drink, alcohol and tobacco Addressing inequalities in oral health Somerset County Council is holding a Pre-Tender Webinar 22nd July 2015 and is inviting organisations that are interested in this proposed tender, as detailed above, to take part. This event will be an opportunity for organisations to view further details relating to the proposals and to be involved in a question and answer session. Organisations that take part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any way in any potential future formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected.
