Description

The National CBRN Centre (NCBRNC), in conjunction with West Midlands Police wish to set up a framework agreement for the provision of a radiometric instrument calibration service. The framework shall be for a period of 2 years with the option to extend for a further 3 periods of 12 months each.
The framework is to complement the existing and future PPE for specialist police, and other emergency service specialist responders.
The framework will be available to all UK Home Office Police Services, British Transport Police, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, MOD Police, Police Service of Scotland, Fire and Rescue Services, NHS and Ambulance Trusts.
The units to be calibrated are Thermo Fisher MK 2.3 Responder Electronic Personal Dosimeter's (EPD) and a minimum number of 2,500 units will be calibrated per annum which will be guaranteed by the National Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centre (NCBRNC). The maximum number of units to be calibrated per annum under this framework is 8,000.
