Description
West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has a large customer base and communicates to a wide range of nationalities. We have an ongoing requirement to use a quality and efficient telephone language translation and interpretation service to communicate with customers who speak a main language other than English. The Telephone Language Translation Service will be used to interpret and translate various languages including Polish, Urdu, Czech, Slovak, Punjabi, Farsi, Romanian, Turkish, Kurdish, Bengali, Hindi, Tigrinya, Mirpuri and Arabic.
The language translation service is required throughout the organisation and will be predominately used during Mobility Assessment Clinics to assess the eligibility of disabled people for a Concessionary Travel Pass who are residents within the West Midlands.
The WMCA anticipates the requirement for this service at present to be on an ad-hoc basis and telephone translation requests to be between zero and fifteen a month. However, this may increase as a result of the wider remit of the WMCA throughout the life of this arrangement.
Bids will be assessed on the basis of 80/20 price/quality.
Please register on the WMCA's e-tendering portal (BravoSolution) in order to access the tender documents at https://wmca.bravosolution.co.uk. The tender ref is itt_508.
Bids are to submitted no later than 1200 noon on Monday 19th March 2018 via BravoSolution and the deadline for clarifications, also via BravoSolution, is 1200 noon on Monday 12th March 2018.
Please note that this is a 4 year maximum term prioritised Framework Agreement with 1, 3 or 4 suitable suppliers qualified to it that is due to commence on 1st April 2018.
