Description

The Council has issued a future opportunity notice in order to raise awareness of this impending tender. The purpose of the notice is to highlight that the opportunity is commencing shortly.
The Council will be seeking suitably experienced suppliers to replace the Poole Park railway track and replace the engine shed. A total of 640 m of track is to be laid and the track requirement is track gauge of 10 ¼.
In addition, the contractor will be required to supply and erect a new purpose-designed steel building as replacement train shed which is 18m long. This will safely house new rolling stock, the new shed is longer than the current shed structure which will need to be demolished as part of this contract. The Council is hoping to issue the tender documents in April 2021.
All suppliers who have expressed an interest in this opportunity will be automatically invited to bid once tender documents have been issued.
