Description

The Council wishes to invite tenders for the supply of services in respect of the supply and installation of stairlifts, through floor lifts, step lifts, external modular access ramps and enabling works covered by disabled facilities grants or other discretionary grants. In addition to providing stairlift installations to the Private Sector, the successful bidder will also be invited to deliver disabled adaptations to Council owned Housing occupied by council tenants in the district of South Kesteven.

The aims/objectives/service priorities of this contract are:
• The Principal Contractor will have control over the construction phase of the project (s) and will be responsible for planning, managing, monitoring and coordination all works in accordance with the specification, health, and safety, safeguarding and legal requirements.
• The successful bidder will be responsible for providing and installing the goods, liaising closely with the Contract Manager/Project Manager Tom Amblin-Lightowler.
• All lifts shall be supplied and installed in accordance with the relevant British and International Standards (or recognised equivalent) as a minimum (and any subsequent updates/equivalent)

The anticipated contract commencement date is 01/06/2024.

The Council proposes to enter one contract for an initial period of 36 months with the preferred supplier, with an option to extend for a period of 12 months, followed by a further 12 months, making 60 months in total.

Any proposed extension is subject to satisfactory performance by the supplier and in accordance with the Council's business requirements.

Any proposed extension to the contract will be agreed in writing between the Council and the supplier.

The budget for this contract is an estimated £120,000.00 per annum (exclusive of VAT). Please Note: The Council reserves the right to reject any submissions that are over budget without further evaluation.
