Description
Mendip District Council is developing an ambitious 2050 growth strategy to drive long-term housing and economic development and support sustainable development in its market towns and rural communities.
To understand the growth potential across the District, the Council is commissioning a range of technical studies to examine both the capacity for growth and to identify the infrastructure investment necessary to unlock opportunities and support smart growth. Technical studies are also required as evidence to update the Mendip Local Development Plan from 2020-2036 and develop effective policies to manage future development.
