Description

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Thames Valley intends to issue invitations to tender for the supply of an Independent Sexual Violence Advisors Service (ISVA Service)

The Contract will last for a period of three years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. The option to extend will be at the sole discretion of the PCC for Thames Valley. The Contract will be awarded to a single supplier or consortium

The expectation is to provide and promote high quality specialist support services, tailored to individual needs that achieve improvements in every victims ability to cope and recover from the impact of crime. Each service will be free of charge, confidential, accessible and available to victims regardless of where the crime took place or whether or not the offence was reported to the police.

The contract shall support male and female victims of sexual violence aged from 16 years and up across Thames Valley. The service will be an independent, victim-focused service working in partnership with a range of local statutory and voluntary organisations. This will include agreeing referral pathways with the police and other agencies, and provision of ISVA services to the 2 Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) in the Thames Valley area (based in Bletchley and Slough). The service will provide advice and support to victims across a wide range of issues, such as housing, health and social interaction, to support the victim to cope and recover from the abuse and ensure their ongoing safety.
