Delivery Notes

The Electrical Installation Condition Reporting (FWT) works in the non-residential buildings across the Anglia Ruskin University campuses, Cambridge and Chelmsford are scheduled to be carried out over a 2021/2022/2023 programme based upon dates taken from preceding electrical test & inspection certificates. The specification for the works identifies what ARU requires, where it is required and how the results are expected to be delivered along with the procedures required for working within an educational establishment.

All works are summarised below and apply to both university campus sites. This summary is not comprehensive and specific details will be given within the tender documents

o All testing works must always be supervised by a competent electrical testing supervisor who is qualified as a minimum to City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing and is experienced in testing similar electrical installations
o All other operatives including assistants carrying out inspection and testing must be suitably experienced and competent to undertake electrical condition report works
o Written evidence of competency will be required prior to site access for all operatives
o Experience of Fixed Wire Testing will be a requirement
o All operatives must hold valid Asbestos Awareness certification
o Identify and locate all circuits, electrical distribution equipment and associated wiring accessories
o Perform a thorough Electrical Inspection and Test including physical 'dead' & 'live' testing NOT 'calculated testing'
