Description

The National Lottery Promotions Unit (NLPU) produces an annual guide to Lottery spending - the National Lottery Index - which relates to the preceding financial year and is seeking to engage a service provider to deliver the National Lottery Index over the next three years, with an option to extend for a further period of one (1) year.

The National Lottery Index is used by NLPU and its stakeholders to provide useful data about Lottery spending, by geography, sector and type of grant. It is not released publicly as a report in its entirety, but is used piecemeal across many NLPU PR campaigns to demonstrate how Good Causes funding has a strong impact on communities across the UK.

The National Lottery Index 2018/19 will be the 15th year of the report. The report follows the same format and data collection process year on year to ensure it is statically robust. We require a supplier to liaise with the different Lottery Distribution Boards (LDBs) over the process of them providing data that can be used to construct the National Lottery Index for 2018/19; 2019/20 and 2020/21. The supplier will be required to have the statistical expertise and experience to analyse the key data that will be supplied in a variety of formats. The supplier will be expected to follow the same statistical techniques of the incumbent supplier and to translate and analyse the data in the way that NLPU requires for the purposes of the Lottery Index activity.

In order for the report to be robust, the data and analysis must be seen to have integrity. It is vital to engage the services of an objective and respected expert organisation to compile the figures supplied by the Lottery Distributors.
