Description
Introduction
HEE exists for one reason only; to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and public of England by ensuring that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours, at the right time and in the right place.
As an Arm's Length Body (ALB) of the Department of Health HEE has been set a challenge to reduce running costs by 20% and education support costs by 30%. This means a change from commissioning towards quality and to further improve our performance as a national and local system leader within the NHS.
Context
This cost reduction can only broadly be achieved through a reduction in staff. In order to mitigate the number of compulsory redundancies a Volunteering for Redundancy scheme was opened in February 17 that has seen c500 staff apply with c250 being accepted. The amalgamation of teams and movement of local teams into national teams still requires further staff reductions. It is anticipated that the initial HR process will be implemented by September with staff exiting the organisation by December 17.
This is a significant change for the organisation and is having a vast impact on staff engagement, motivation and performance. Certainty for staff in their roles or exiting, the new organisation structures need to be implemented quickly to allow the organisation to focus on delivering objectives. There will also be a need to recruit new skills and fill new roles where there is currently no one identified to fill the post.
HEE are looking for organisations to submit a quote to run development sessions with teams across the country to establish how teams are going to work together to deliver the organisation purpose and objectives and improve productivity.
HEE are looking for competitive quotes from organisations, £20,000 is given as a guideline figure.
