Description

NHS Digital own a 2-story building of c 10,000ft² and lease and additional c 9000ft² on the top floor of a neighbouring building, located on a small commercial/business park in Exeter. The buildings are circa 30 years old and whilst in excellent repair structurally the interiors are due an update
As an organisation we are moving to a hotdesk / smart working culture and have a growing need for break out / away from desk collaboration space, both formal and informal, as well as a heavy demand for whitewalls.
The buildings also house outdated ICT equipment which will be stripped out giving significant scope to reduce comms room sizes and make better use of the space that releases.
Given the age and ownership of one building we will also be investigating environmental, sustainability and wellbeing upgrades of the space as part of this project.
We are looking for a contractor comfortable with D&B to pick up the PM's drawings / ideas and transform those into detailed M&E / construction packs for the sub-contractors, help with providing detailed 2D and limited 3D's for sharing with staff.
These works will be undertaken in a live environment, so we will need to rotate staff through the spaces to accommodate. Evening and weekend works are also likely. Parking onsite is limited although there are areas within a 5-10 min walk that offer parking options.
