Description
The London Boroughs' Legal Alliance (the "LBLA"), comprised of the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Greenwich, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Haringey, Harrow, Havering, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Newham, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, the City of London Corporation, Westminster City Council and the London Fire and Planning Authority "the Authorities".
Between them, they spend approximately £2.1m per annum on external Solicitors' Services. The Authorities have come together in a shared procurement exercise and wish to appoint a panel of Solicitors whose advisory services the individual legal teams can call upon.
The Framework Agreement will run for a period of three (3) years with an option to extend the term for a further year (1). Tenders are welcome from those organisations that can provide high quality and cost effective legal advisory services under one or both of the following Lots: • LOT 1 - Regeneration • and LOT 2 - Full Range of Legal Services. It will be open for use by other local authorities in Greater London and South-East England (please refer to www.direct.gov.uk for a full list of local authorities in these regions).
The London Borough of Hackney is acting as the Central Purchasing Body for the purposes of this procurement exercise to set up a Framework Agreement and Kennedy Cater is acting as the advisers on behalf of the LBLA Authorities for this tender process.
