Description

The London Borough of Sutton has already developed a district heat network, known as the Sutton Decentralised Energy Network ("SDEN"), through its wholly owned ESCO subsidiary, Sutton Decentralised Energy Network Limited ("LBS-ESCO"). Future planned work comprises a number of strategic extensions and connections that will extend the network across the Borough. LBS-ESCO seek bids from organisations who are able to complete a site-specific extension of the network to the existing Lavenders housing site (the "Lavenders Extension Project") which is a development of 348 new build dwellings constructed by Clarion Housing.

Design and installation work consists of around 500m of buried pipe installation, incorporating an above-ground crossing of the River Wandle, modifications at the energy centre, and a new heating substation at the Lavenders site.

Clarion and LBS-ESCO intend that works will be progressed as rapidly as possible, subject to capital costs being viable. This is a specialised area of construction work and LBS-ESCO ask that potential suppliers read the requirements of the contract carefully.
