The project involves the remodelling of existing Forensics Laboratory & associated rooms (N804/N807/N809a) within North Tower, Eighth floor, Kedleston Road Site.
The project centres around the following:-
Careful isolation of M & E services including gas; Asbestos removal & encapsulation; removal & carting away of fume cupboards including flues & spiral ducting, laboratory worktops & base units, stud partitioning, suspended ceilings, existing floor finishes; redundant shelving, blackout curtaining,
Supply & installation of new partition, new suspended ceilings to modified areas, modification to & the supply & installation of new lighting to match existing ; supply & installation of new slip resistant flooring; supply & installation of 2 laboratory peninsula benches & 40 stools; supply, installation, commissioning, testing & programming of construction of new MDF 'pigeon hole' free standing storage racks & Hewi cloakroom rail, decorations & professional cleaning
The project must be complete by Monday 6th September 2015:-
• The contractor is to include for any unsocial hours / weekends necessary to ensure the programme dates are met.
• The Contract will be let under the JCT Minor Works Agreement 2011
• Retention is 5%. 2.5% at Practical Completion
• Defects Liability Period is 12 Months
• Simon parker is the Contract Administrator & Projects Manager
