Description

Birmingham City Council in partnership with DWP are looking for a training provider to deliver a warehouse and storage training programmme for unemployed Birmingham residents aged 17+ to develop and prepare individuals for working in such an environment.
This initiative is in response to the warehousing sector identifying the need to identify potential employees having some knowledge of the industry to ensure sustainabilty in this sector.

The successful supplier will facilitate 117 participants in attending awareness training of the warehouse and storage service industry to include understanding of working in a warehouse environment and the delivery of pre employment support. The programme must be designed to aid retention and candidates will be supported during this process and also lead directly to guaranteed interviews for local employment vacancies.

Birmingham City Council, on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (Birmingham and Solihull District), invites providers to make an application to be considered to provide and facilitate the warehouse and storage training programme.
The contract has a maximum budget of £81,900 to deliver training to 117 candidates.
