The provision of an evidenced based Targeted Family Support Service for children, young people and their families who are subject to Child Protection plans and 0 - 8 years section 20 who are new entrants to care.


SERVICE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aim of the service is to:

• reduce the number of children and young people in need of statutory interventions
• reduce the number of children and young people who are referred to the Edge of Care Team.
• Reduce the number of children and young people being placed in care;
• Evidence the benefits realisation of the service
• Reduce the incidents of domestic abuse
• Improve family relationships, for the child(ren)/young person(s).
• Support the safeguarding of children and young people
• Reduce the amount of time that children are subject to child protection and child in need plans
• Prevent re-referrals;
• Increase the resilience of families
• Increase the levels of sustainable step downs
