Job Title: Neighbourhood Officer (ASB)
Rate of pay: £12.95 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 21 hours

Brief description:
As a Neighbourhood ASB Officer you will manage a caseload of complex anti-social behaviour cases (including Prevention and Enforcement cases) and ensure all performance targets are met.

Based within one of Sandwell's 6 towns, you will ensure that anti-social behaviour complaints are dealt with swiftly and effectively; in accordance with Policy and guidance. This role will include interviewing victims, witness and perpetrators of ASB, collecting & assessing evidence as well as taking action to prevent and resolve issues. The role will also require you to prepare legal documents and to liaise with legal teams, to progress cases through the civil and criminal courts including writing statements, compiling evidence files, attend court hearings and personally serve court paperwork.

The successful candidate must have relevant experience, working in an ASB/Crime/ Enforcement environment or in another similar role. They must also have excellent communication skills and have a strong ability to deal with complex cases and needs.

You will also require significant background Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Management and will be familiar with complex casework and interactions with the public. Experience in the application of the ASB Community Trigger (ASB Crime and Policing Act, 2014) would also be essential.
To be a successful Neighbourhood ASB officer you must have a comprehensive knowledge of ASB legislation both Civil and Criminal and a proven track record of achieving targets and getting positive outcomes.

You must have at least 2 years current or recent experience in this type of work or in a related field including ASB, Community safety, Neighbourhood management or Housing
No DBS check is required for this role.
