LICENSING OFFICER
Rate of Pay: Band D (£11.02 - £12.92 per hour to worker)
Hours: 15-18.5 hours per week (5 hours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
Location: Oldbury Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury

Job Summary:
We are seeking to recruit a Licensing Officer to join our busy General Licensing Team. If you have previous experience working in Licensing or a similar role and believe you possess the skills and experience to enable you to provide an excellent service to our customers, this is the perfect opportunity for you to join our team.
You will be responsible for receiving and processing licence applications under the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and Scrap Metal 2013. This will involve processing applications in accordance with council procedures, maintaining computer records and providing advice and guidance to applicants regarding licensing matters.
Previous experience of report writing and presenting at Committee or Board meetings and experience of giving evidence at Court is desirable.
Are you an excellent communicator and a good team player? You must be driven to meet tight deadlines and be able to manage conflicting demands.
The successful candidate will be required to work from the office 1-2 days each week as demanded by workload and business requirements.
Hours:
Our office hours 9.00 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday and 9.00 to 5.00 on a Friday. We are looking to appoint someone to work 15 per week working 5 hours per day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
