High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd - Tender for Built Environment Technical Support Contract via Achilles RISQS system.
UPDATE ON PUBLICATION DATE: Live on Achilles 07 FEB 2017
HS2 Ltd will be issuing a Detailed Additional Questions request on the Rail Industry Supplier Qualification System (RISQS) on 07 Feb 2017 for procurement of a Built Environment Technical Support Contract.
The requirement is to identify a single party to coordinate a range of high speed rail technical and engineering specialists against each, or both, of two (2) Lots:
Lot A is 'Architectural Services' and
Lot B is 'Civil and Structural Engineering'.
Parties interested in tendering for either one or both of the Lots will be required to provide a range of technical specialists across the proposed 4-year term of the contract on a call-off basis, who can supplement the existing HS2 Technical Directorate Built Environment team.
Tenderers will need to be registered on Achilles RISQS for the following codes:
04.58.01 Civil Engineering Consultancy - SER
04.58.02 Development and Review of Civil Engineering Standards - SER
04.73.01 Building Consultancy - SER
04.73.02 Development & Review of Building Standards - SER
04.74.18 Design and Architect Services - SER
The contract scope includes:
Technical reviews of Contractors' and Professional Services Contractors' submissions to HS2 for technical assessment;
Architectural Approach Documents, Engineering and Civil Engineering Technical standards;
Design evaluation and pro-active commentary on the suitability and effectiveness of built and landscape designs
Tenderers will need to provide a range of skills, either from their directly employed workforce or on a sub-contracted basis, including:
Structural Engineering; Highway Engineering; Geotechnical Engineering; Tunnel and Sub-surface Engineering; Drainage Engineering; Flood Engineering, Landscape and Earthworks Design; Stations and Buildings Architecture; Services Engineering; Pedestrian Flow Modellers; Urban Realm Designers; Noise & Vibration and Aerodynamics experts.
Parties interested in tendering who are not already registered, need to be registered with Achilles RISQS (see attached link below) in order to participate. Registration with Achilles can take a minimum of 2 weeks so early registration application is advised for those not currently registered.
