Description

The cliff stabilisation scheme will involve:
• Demolition
o Demolition and removal of existing 1970s transverse beams stabilisation schemes
o Demolition and removal of an early masonry wall located on the cliff
• Proposed Construction
o Installation of new service ducting (water and power)
o Prepare existing cliff face to allow the installation of the soil stabilisation system
o Supply and install on the existing cliff face approx. 5500m2 of:
 Soil nailing,
 structural mesh and
 erosion protection matting
The works will also involve monitoring the stability of the cliff during the works, and installation of temporary works to prevent damage to the beach huts
