Description
The Derby Silk Mill - Museum of Making project will sustainably redevelop Derby Silk Mill, widely regarded as the site of the world's first factory and part of the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. It will create an inspirational new museum, revealing the whole building for the first time and re-introducing manufacturing to the site.
This PQQ is developed in line with one of the three new Government Procurement initiatives which is Integrated Project Insurance Model (IPI) and will be one of the trial projects supported and monitored by the Cabinet Office.
As this is a new method of working based on a truly collaborative team. There will be an Industry day on the 1stJune 2017 at 1400 at Derby Silk Mill. It is important that bidders understand the IPI model and intent so that they can apply that knowledge to the questions and their responses to them. Please try and attend so you can give your best possible response. There will not be another opportunity to hold any further events in the period.
You should note that the design team have already been procured under a separate OJEU and will convert tothe Alliance Contract and IPI model once the full team is in place.
