Description

Warwickshire CC is seeking to commission a single provider for the provision of specialist hoarding support services.

Specialist Hoarding Support Service Overview
We require a specialist hoarding support service, providing holistic assessments, interventions, and practical and psychological support to individuals who compulsively hoard.

Based on current demands level we expect this service to work with in the region of ten customers per year.

The service will:
o Take a holistic client-centred approach and tailor services to the needs of the individual.
o Assess the client to ascertain motivation for change and assess the hoarding behaviour
o To contribute to the risk assessment of the customer and complete own risk assessment to determine risks when working with the customer
o Offer a timely response from initial referral, screening, assessment and development of a bespoke support plan with clear objective and outcomes
o Offer one to one direct work and facilitate peer support groups where appropriate
o Address the psychological as well as the practical aspects of the hoarding behaviour and the impact on the individual and others around them.
o Work in partnership throughout the process with referrers and local services
o Have an awareness and understanding of referral methods and pathways to local mental health support services and use as appropriate
o Provide the service flexibly to individuals wherever they live in Warwickshire, and will have a clear, managed step down from the specialist service to community/alternative support and or self-management when the specialist support is no longer required.
o Obtain quotes from local contractors for clearances and deep cleans if required. These will then be discussed with the referrer and funding avenues explored.
