Description

Network security has proven challenging to manage on an on-going basis. Vendor driven software upgrades and operability with legacy hardware have resulted in service impact and loss of availability following deployment of releases.

Coventry University therefore wishes to undertake a formal support engagement for the following items:

1. To award a contract with a single supplier for the supply of firewall infrastructure within the Coventry University Group network environment.

2. To identify a strategic partner who can deliver an industry leading support mechanism for Network Security operating model with the Coventry University group for procurement, finance, digital services, and supportive lifecycle processes and a
sustainable TCO model.

3. To Supply of all requirements in the Appendix B, Pricing Schedule, to Coventry University.

4. Integration with Azure Marketplace.

5. To award a 3-year contract with a +1 +1 option for extension.

This is a competitive procurement, conducted as a further competition against the JISC Network Equipment Framework, Lot 7 Palo Alto. This Agreement has been awarded under the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
