Description

A series of intrusive ground investigation works on the Edmonton EcoPark in support of the North London Heat and Power Project Programme. The work comprises vacuum excavation of trial trenches to locate, map and record buried services on the operational site, and the reinstatement of all trial trenches as more particularly detailed in the procurement documents available on the e-procurement portal (http://in-tendhost.co.uk/nlwa).

Interested contractors must complete the selection questionnaire available from the e-procurement portal (http://in-tendhost.co.uk/nlwa) and submit it as set out in that document by 12 December 2019. Contractors should note that the Authority is requesting references to support certain responses to the selection questionnaire. Further details are set out in the selection questionnaire. Five contractors that are shortlisted following the selection questionnaire stage will be invited to tender for the works. Contractors should note that the Authority intends to publish details of any contract awarded in accordance with the UK Government transparency policy, subject to possible redactions at the discretion of the Authority. The Authority reserves the right not to award the Contract as a result of the procurement process commenced by the publication of this notice; and to make changes as it deems fit to the content and structure of the competition; and in no circumstances will the Authority be liable for any costs incurred by Tenderers. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this notice, the procurement documents or in an acceptance of a Tender by the Authority shall be construed as an agreement by the Authority to enter into the Contract with the successful Tenderer. Details of the conditions relating to submission of Selection Questionnaires, Tenders, conduct of the procurement process and award of contract (including draft terms and condition of the Contract) are set out in the procurement documents which are available at the e-procurement portal (http://in-tendhost.co.uk/nlwa).

Candidates should note that the Authority intends to include in the Contract provisions requiring the Successful Tenderer to pay at least the London Living Wage to its employees and any workers employed in the carrying out of the Works and to procure that its subcontractors comply with the same obligations in relation to their employees and workers employed in carrying out the Works.
