Description

This tender is for the design, supply and commissioning of a solar photovoltaic installation to the residential development at Trent Basin, Nottingham.

The installation forms part of a pilot community energy scheme (CES) on the 22 acre Trent Basin site in Nottingham. The project takes a transformational approach to how communities can generate and consume energy. The community energy demonstrator and associated research work is funded by Innovate UK, the Energy Research Accelerator (ERA) and associated industry partners.

One of the key objectives of the project is to create vendor diagnostic business model templates that can be used by any developer to deploy CES as part of their own projects.

The following are the key benefits:

The consumer will benefit from reduced energy prices.

New value will be created for developers and technology suppliers.

The overall energy system cost for new generation will be reduced.
