Description

The Unit operates nationally and independently of government, providing advice and coordinating bespoke support to local authorities when child sexual exploitation is a particular concern and in response to a high number of cases. This ensures that specialist professionals in social work, law enforcement, and health are available to be deployed when they are needed anywhere in the country, for example following inspection, high levels of whistleblowing or needs self-identified by an area.
