'Tell us about your care' - Expressions of Interest invited
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is looking to gauge market interest and conditions for the provision of services to gather intelligence from patients, their family members and carers relating to the quality of health and social care services in England.
As the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England, CQC is responsible for monitoring and inspecting these services to ensure they are providing care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive to peoples' needs and well-led. Listening to and acting on people's experiences of care is vital to CQC's work, as it helps us to decide when, where and what to inspect, supports better registration, inspection, judgements and ratings, and results in better information for the public.
Since 2012, CQC has established a number of partnerships with national voluntary organisations, known as 'Tell us about your care' partnerships, in order to increase our access to people's experiences of care via organisations that are already working with and hearing from people on an on-going basis.
CQC now wishes to engage with the wider market in order to inform both the development and delivery of their future service requirements for "Tell us about your care", and in the first instance CQC would like to invite interested organisations to submit an expression of interest.
Please also note that CQC anticipates publishing a 'Request for Information' (RFI) market engagement exercise during w/c 16th May 2016, whereby organisations who are interested in this requirement will have the opportunity to review a draft Service Specification and respond to a number of questions regarding the nature of the service requirement. As part of this process, webinar sessions are anticipated to be held on 24th May (12:30 - 14:30) and 25th May (11:00 - 13:00) to enable CQC to provide further information about the service requirement (please note that the times/dates of the webinars are subject to change).
Please note that those organisations who submit an expression of interest will subsequently be notified as to when the RFI documentation is available to access and review, and the applicable response deadlines.
