Description

Northamptonshire County Council (the Authority) is inviting tenders for the completion of construction works at Chester Farm Heritage Park. The previously appointed contractor has entered Administration and the project requires a sensitive and proactive contractor to work with the Authority and its representatives in completing the works onsite. There is a need to complete the works onsite to the original plans and where applicable via the improved uses as set out within the documentation. Situated between Wellingborough and Irchester it will be the regions foremost heritage attraction and can boast 10,000 years of human habitation. Currently a farmstead the Authority will open the site to the public to celebrate and explore the rich history of Northamptonshire. Chester Farm will include a restaurant, artisan shopping village, wedding venue, bed and breakfast unit, an education centre and a museum. The farm will also have one of the largest Archaeological Archiving centres in the UK.
