MHCLG is responsible for Government policy relating to housing, planning and building, local growth, local government, integration and community cohesion. Its job is to create great places to live and work right across the country. It is a ministerial department, supported by 13 agencies and public bodies.

A Discovery project to understand whether using data science / AI methods and publicly available information it is possible to ascertain an accurate estimate of building height and an understanding of the external wall system materials used on residential buildings.

This contract was awarded following a Request for Clarification (RfC) process via the G-Cloud 11 framework (ref RM1557.11). Multiple suppliers were short-listed via the Digital Marketplace. The supplier responses were evaluated against the criteria set out in the RfC document. The highest scoring supplier was selected to carry out the Discovery phase.
