Description

The Large Anechoic Chamber was built in 1968 and last refurbished in the mid 1990's. It is now in need of another refurbishment.
We would be looking for a company to remove the existing fibreglass wedges and replace them with a new set of wedges. We would be looking to replace the existing metal grid floor with something more lightweight, maybe of GRP construction.
The refurbished chamber should at minimum:
• comply with ISO 3745, ISO 26101. A full commissioning report will be required.
• have a cut off frequency of 80Hz or below
• have acoustic wedges that are fire retardant
• have refurbished seals on all chamber openings
• have a replacement lightweight floor capable of taking a spread load of at least 500 kg
