Description

The University of Sheffield is a leading institution in energy research. The focus of the research in this tender is on electrically powered rail transport systems and electric road vehicles (EVs), and extends to the power supply network which supports them.
The proposed research, supported by funding from the EPSRC, addresses both the technology to store electric energy in a form suited to transport use, and the modelling to understand how to use the technology to reduce overall energy demand.

This tender is for a multi-source bi-directional DC/DC converter that is suitable for the connection of multiple energy sources that can export and import power to a DC train power network.

The scope of supply for this tender includes the DC/DC converter(s), DC breaker, DC contactor, 90kW dump resistor, protection devices (over voltage/over current) and busbars for making connections.

This is an Non-EU open exercise. The ITT can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the University's e-tendering system http://in-tendhost.co.uk/sheffield

If you have any questions or comments in relation to this tender they must be submitted via the In-tend system, this can be accessed at http://in-tendhost.co.uk/sheffield

Completed tenders must be returned through the same e-tendering system.

Closing date for receipt of tenders: 4th October 2019 at 12 noon (UK time).
