Description

Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council (known as the 'Authority') invite tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the provision of Healthwatch Leicester and Leicestershire (HWLL). Leicester City Council is leading the procurement on behalf of the Authority.The local Healthwatch service is the creation of the Health and Social Care Act (2012) and is an independent local consumer champion for patients, service users, carers and all those using health and social care services as well as the wider public.
This tender seeks to secure a provider for the provision of HWLL from 2nd April 2018 for an initial period of 3 years until 31st March 2021 with the possibility to extend for a further period (s) of up to two 2 years (taking the contract term to a potential maximum of 5 years).
There will be an opportunity to ask questions at a Tenderers Information Session to be held on 24th November 2017. All information in respect of this tender opportunity is within the ITT documentation.
The contract value assigned to this service is £307,391 per annum (£1,536,955 for the full 5 year contract period (3 years plus the option to extend for up to a further 2 years). In addition to the above core funding, an additional £50,000 per annum (£250,000 for the full 3 + 1 + 1 year contract period) will be released in agreement with the Authority for undertaking specific pieces of work or additional services that complement or further the aims of the core services.
