Description
Providing external surveys to 55 no. high rise housing blocks with a height range of 6 to 18 storeys
o Reporting findings of surveys to the Client for each building.
o Using both abseil techniques and Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPs) depending upon the location and the access limitations of each individual block.
o Undertaking visual inspection surveys on site to determine the condition of the structure, claddings and render, identifying any defects & recommending future inspection programme frequencies or rectification solutions including structural engineering advice regarding these solutions.
o Cutting out or removing defective structures & materials and carrying out emergency repairs to minor defects which may cause a danger to the public if left untreated.
o Providing intrusive surveys, including removing and reinstating external brick cladding/structures to determine underlying structural defects
o Providing safety surveys to insulated render and making patch repairs where defective render is identified.
o Providing thermology studies to identified blocks
o Providing RF surveys to telecommunications installations to identified blocks
o Providing laboratory testing and chemical analysis of samples taken during the course of the surveys
o Providing Method Statements and Risk Assessments (to be returned with the tender submission)
o Providing an outline Programme of the Works (to be submitted for approval within seven days of request).
o Providing a written report for each block complete with defect locations, drawings and recommendations all cross-referenced with photographs and other information necessary to form the basis of future planned long-term maintenance of the blocks
