Description

Supply of Multi-hole air velocity probes with data acquisition system equipment - TRAIN Rig

The University of Birmingham invites tenders for the supply of the following:
Multi-hole pressure probe and data acquisition system
o Multi-hole pressure probes are required to produce time histories of three dimensional velocities and pressures at points around moving vehicle models on the TRAIN Rig.
o Velocities in minimum range of 0 to 40m/s, with a minimum accuracy of ?1%, at a minimum sampling rate of 1000 samples / sec. Ideally velocities of 0 to 100m/s, accuracies ?0.2m/s and sampling rates of 5000 samples / sec
o Quotes are to be provided for a 4, 8 and 16 probes system (including suitable Data Acquisition System (DAQ)), with discounts for bulk buying if appropriate.
o A minimum flow angle of ?45 degrees. Suppliers should state whether systems with larger flow angles are possible.
o The necessary calibration equipment shall be provided.
o A full data logging and processing system shall be provided, with the ability to download data to all common analysis platforms.
