Description
The works comprise of the relocation of outdoor market including provision of new stalls, stores, market suite, shopmobility toilets and associated infrastructure. The works are to be completed in two sections as follows: Section 1 Completion of construction work including the relocation of cabins by 17/11/17 to allow access to site by the traders and market staff to re-open the market on 22/11/17. The existing market will cease trading Saturday 04/11/17 allowing a 2 week window to relocate the cabins and undertake any specified alterations. Works to be completed in Phase 1 comprise:Everything to allow the market to re-open for trading, which excludes Shopmobility, Management Suite and decant of the site compound from the public car park. Section 2 Comprising remaining works comprising Shopmobility, Management Suite and decant of the site compound from the public car park. The proposed form of contract for the works is the JCT Design and Build Contract (DB), 2016 Edition and tenderers are assumed to have a copy of this form and be fully conversant with the content therein. It should be noted it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire works.
