Description
The City invites Quotations for the provision of Independent Chair of the Achieving Excellence Board March 2022 - 2024.
The City of London Corporation established a new Achieving Excellence Board (AEB) in 2019 to lead the development of its Children's Social Care and Early Help practice. A new Independent Chair is to be appointed to take on role of chairing the AEB and supporting its effective functioning and the achievement of its work plan.
The Independent Chair of the AEB supports the local authority to achieve excellence in its practice and in outcomes for children.
The AEB will act to:
- define clear aspirations, and setting SMART outcomes to the work plan
- oversee the work plan to hold to account through the AEB the commitments to delivery
- seek assurance of impact arising from the delivery of the work plan
- involve practitioners in the monitoring and evaluation of progress and impact on children
- involve children and families in the monitoring of outcomes and service improvement
- hold senior managers to account independently
- have a clearer line of sight of frontline practice and performance
- enable space for reflective discussion and focusing on the things that make a difference to children.
The meetings of the AEB can be supplemented as required with targeted work and support, workshops, and other approaches as seen fit to support its objectives.
The duration of the contract is two years, subject to the right of the City (at its sole discretion) to exercise its right to extend the Contract by up to two years. The maximum length of the contract is therefore four years.
