Description
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is issuing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) to understand what interest there is in the market for a supplier to manage an emergency night shelter at Unit 5, The Quadrant (also known as John West House) for the homeless. The supplier would also be required to provide support services for up to 2 hours per week per resident (for up to 5 residents) for the 8 weeks following their move to Braywick Park Place to enable a successful transition into more independent housing.
The emergency night shelter property (John West House) is owned by the Authority. The shelter has a 6 bed dormitory and 3 individual bedrooms as well as two allocated parking spaces. The Authority is currently responsible for the maintenance and/or replacement of furniture and fittings including bedding.
The provision operates 365 days a year and offers emergency accommodation for customers aged 18 years and over who have connection within the borough. The Authority is responsible for the referrals into this Service in line with the Authority's statutory obligations. The aim of the service is to provide safe shelter to support 9 individuals at John West House and to support any residents that have moved on but require short term support during the transition into more independent living at Braywick Park Place. Braywick Park Place is a 5 bed Shared House.
The Authority is planning on tendering these requirements later this year and asks that Suppliers who are able to and are interested in providing these services email procurement@rbwm.gov.uk stating their interest and providing details about their organisation.
In return the Authority will send suppliers a short market questionnaire for completion which will help in the shaping of the service required by the Authority.
